Many people started off the month with plans of publishing something witty or indulgent to say, as this season so allows for it. Those plans were put aside as we woke to news of what happened in Las Vegas at the start of this month. Lives were changed, and no words felt appropriate or sufficient.

To move forward does not mean you forget. It only means you realize that for every bad deed there is a good one, and that your children or your community need to see you smile. For at the root, it's sometimes that lack of human kindness or connection that leads to the desire to destroy. Be kind in any way you can to others, and be the hope and light to those around you who may be silently seeking it.
